The Haus Zum Dolder in Beromünster, about 8.5 km northeast of Sursee, was, for three generations and more than 100 years, a doctor’s house. It not only offers an interesting insight into the life and work of a country doctor, but also houses a rich and versatile private collection. Items displayed include local Baroque craftwork in the form of furniture, reverse paintings on glass, faience, tin ware, and traditional costume jewellery and, from Central Switzerland, religious sculpture, Flühli glass ware, portraits and etchings. There are also items relating to the history of medicine. Temporary exhibitions highlight one area of the collection.
