Located in the former private villa of the husband and wife collectors Arthur and Hedwig Hahnloser-Bühler, this collection of French paintings is from the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries. In rooms decorated by the architects Rittmeyer & Furrer, the focus is on the Les Nabis School, Bonnard, Denis, Roussel, Vallotton and Vuillard and the Les Fauves group, Matisse, Marquet, Rouault and Manguin. There are also works by earlier artists Cézanne, van Gogh, Redon and also Swiss painters. Interest is created by changing combinations of exhibits.
