The Gottfried Keller Zentrum is an arts centre which was opened in 1985, dedicated to the Swiss poet, novelist and artist Gottfried Keller (1819-1890). His most famous work was possibly the semi-autobiographical novel ‘Der Grüne Heinrich’ (Green Henry). Apart from the focus on Gottfried Keller’s life and work, the centre also stages art exhibitions, concerts, etc and there is a well known restaurant the ‘Gottfried Keller Stube’. The ‘Poet’s Way’ is a three hour hiking trail with 14 poem and text boards on the route. A visit could be combined with the Wiesengrund lido in Glattfelden (see separate entry).
