The Freibad Gossau, located approximately 10 km west of St Gallen, is ideal for a family outing; it offers a full range of open-air pools and facilities under lifeguard supervision. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool with a waterslide, a diving pool with 1-metre, 3-metre and 5-metre platforms, a splash pool with a flow channel and chute and a children’s paddling pool with accessories. Other features include a children’s playground, a beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis etc. Facilities include a restaurant, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
