The pleasant ski resort of Gommiswald is located about 18 km east of Rapperswil and has a nice lido offering open-air bathing under lifeguard supervision with good facilities. The 25-metre open-air swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a diving tower with one-metre and two-metre platforms, a water slide, pool accessories, a children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed areas for sunbathing with shade and a games area for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis and other sports. Facilities provided include changing cubicles, lockers, showers, toilets, a kiosk and a restaurant.
