The Fountain Pen Museum, said to be the only museum of its type in Switzerland, is located in a late-19th century art nouveau villa. It is a private museum and can be visited only by prior appointment. The collection includes both writing instruments and accessories and covers the cultural history of writing. There are rare inkwells, early quills, manuscripts from the Thirty Years’ War, early ballpoint pens and classic designs from manufacturers such as Cross, Lamy, Montblanc, Pelican, Waterman, Sheaffer, Faber Castell, Caran d’Ache, Porsche and more.
