Since 1495, the forge watermills have operated at the heart of the village of Vallorbe. Classified as a historic monument in 1980, the museum was developed and dedicated to the industry of iron and the railroad, which contributed to the expansion of the region. Attention is drawn from the start by the channel diverting the water to the four paddle wheels, which operate the workshop machines. Visitors will be fascinated by the skill and creativity of the blacksmiths at work. Audio-visuals present the history of ironwork and the old artisanal trades, together with the magic of the railway line.
