A guided tour, by arrangement, lasts about one hour and takes in the Priory Church, the visitors’ room, the Baroque herb garden, the abbey, the paramente (textile) exhibition, the painting gallery and the Priory shop. The interior is not open to visitors. The Priory Church dates from about 1410-30 and was renovated and extended in 1650 and the interior redesigned in the period 1745-47. The external mock architectural frescoes are a notable feature. Viticulture has always been part of priory life and the wine press and cellars date from 1740. The 1679 ‘Zu den zwei Raben’ restaurant is on site.
