The Schwimmbad Eselriet on the outskirts of Effretikon is about 11 km southwest of Winterthur; a large open-air bathing complex, it has a full range of pools and facilities. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool, diving pool with 1-metre, 3-metre and 5-metre platforms and a children’s paddling pool. Features include a 62-metre waterslide, various pool accessories, a children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include parking, changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There are barbeque areas, a restaurant and an adjacent mini-golf course
