Richard Campbell was the founder and builder of the Engadine Museum, which is located in a house built in the old Engadine style. Opened in 1906 it houses his collection of Grisons and especially Engadine furniture and artefacts. The museum provides the visitor with an overview and appreciation of the history of St. Moritz and the surrounding region. Exhibits excavated in the Engadine from Neolithic and Bronze Age periods, Roman finds, furniture, fabrics, costumes and textiles all form part of this history. You can also learn about the various local styles of architecture and the use of sgraffito on Engadine buildings.
