Located in Bellevueplatz, at the end of Quaibrücke, is another fountain by Otto Münch (1885-1965), known as ‘Delphinbrunnen’, it is a work created in 1939. Münch was also responsible for the Löwenbrunnen fountain (see separate entry), but is probably best known for his ornate bronze doors to the Grossmünster Church. Delphinbrunnen (Dolphin Fountain) is four metres (13 feet) in diameter and is made from Castione granite with three chromium plated white metal waterspouts, in the form of dolphins and cherubs.
