The Circus Museum is owned by the Knie family, who operate Circus Knie, founded in 1803, based in Rapperswil and Switzerland’s main circus. The museum is the only one of its type in Switzerland and illustrates the rich history of the Knie family. There are precious costumes, old posters, historical documents, photos, video clips of big top highlights and a children’s corner where you will find drawing paper and old costumes to be tried on. The observation deck has a breathtaking view of the lake, the port, the old part of town and the castle.
