The Cigar and Tobacco Museum is situated in Menziken, approximately 11 km northeast of Sursee, and exhibits many valuable items from the tobacco industry and details the process from plant to end product. The collection was accumulated since his schoolboy days by Urs Merz and includes some 250 posters, 125,000 decorative belly rings and 13,000 labels of different cigars. The museum, which opened in 2000, is housed in a converted chapel, having been earlier on display in Urz’s own house.
