The Bäumli, above the Goldenberg vineyards, is Winterthur’s most popular viewpoint and affords a panoramic view of the whole city and its environs, as well as the 2,502 metre (8,209 feet) Säntis Mountain and the Glarus Alps. Bäumli can be reached by Winterthur’s longest steps, which start opposite the Kantonsschule im Lee in Rychenbergstrasse and measure 425 metres (about 494 yards). Alternatively, use one of the walking trails or by car go via Tössertobelstrasse. If you wish to dine, the well known Restaurant Goldenberg, which has a terrace, is close by.
