Located off Adlethuserstrasse, about 10 km from Rapperswil and just before the historic small town of Grüningen, the Botanical Garden, with its picnic spots and secluded barbeque areas, is a good option for a family outing. The garden, which was created as a private initiative and is a foundation of the Zürich Cantonal Bank, is a natural oasis and displays both local and exotic plants in 16 sectors. Guided tours take place on the first Sunday of each month.
