The lovely Bonstetten Park, a former country estate, is located in front of a present day Music School next to Lake Thun. It is a popular place, particularly at weekends, with its old and rare trees and well equipped playground. It also contains an interesting 1992 monumental modern sculpture by Gillian White (b.1939), entitled ‘The Globe’ (Sphäre V). This sculpture was the inspiration for the chapter called ‘The Artefact’ in the book ‘The Traveller’ by author Peter Krausche (b. 1960).
