The ‘Im Blauen Haus’ is a private museum, open throughout the year, in which the collection Hermann Fässler, accumulated over many years, is on display and gives an impressive insight into Appenzell culture, tradition, lifestyle and work. The museum has been open for more than 20 years and the collection is remarkable in its range of decorative and household objects. Particular highlights are the works of local artists, including naïve paintings and Apenzell embroidery. The exhibits are changed regularly, entry is free and guided tours are available.
