When visiting other attractions in Bischofszell (see separate entries), take the opportunity to relax at the Schwimmbad Bischofszell, an open-air bathing complex about 19 km northwest of St Gallen, with good facilities under lifeguard supervision. Opened in 1954, the 50-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool, a diving pool with 1-metre and 3-metre platforms and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include grassed areas with shade suitable for sunbathing and picnics and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, etc. Facilities include changing rooms, showers and toilets. There is also a restaurant with a garden terrace.
