The alpine village of Bergün at an altitude of 1,376 metres, with its decorated Engadine houses, is a delight. Located north of St Moritz and about 50 minutes by road over the Albula Pass, Bergün was the location for the filming of the TV series ‘The Director’ in the 1990s. It is a popular resort for sledging, the Preda-Bergün run being a classic, but also has a traditional skiing area, cross-country and much more. In the summer there are many attractive walks and themed trails. The 800-year-old Romanesque church and a Roman tower are amongst the many attractions.
