The town of Balgach is located approximately 28 km east of St Gallen and the Hallenbad Balgach is an indoor bathing complex under lifeguard supervision, which is part of a large sports centre. The 25-metre swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a 12.5-metre non-swimmers’ pool; both pools are heated to 30°C and other features include a 60-metre waterslide and various pool accessories. Facilities include a kiosk, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. Swimming and other classes are available. Phone or check the website for opening hours. The local museum, which is housed in the historic Alte Rathaus, is worth visiting.
