Appenzell, in addition to its attractive lido (see separate entry), has the Hallenbad Appenzell indoor bathing complex and spa, which is located on the outskirts of the town. The 25-metre swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a 12-metre non-swimmers’ pool, which is also used for instruction; both pools are heated to 28°C. The spa has a sauna, steam bath and solarium; massage and fitness classes are available. Other facilities include parking, a restaurant, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
