Alstatten is located about 26 km southeast of St Gallen and is an option for a family country outing. Its Lido offers open-air pools and a heated indoor 25-metre swimmers’ pool, all under life guard supervision. The 50-metre open-air swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a heated whirlpool, a flow pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include one-metre and three-metre diving platforms, a waterslide, children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. There are also barbeque facilities, a kiosk and restaurant.
