The Schwimmbad Aegeten located at Widnau, about 28 km east of St Gallen, is an open-air bathing complex offering lake and pool swimming under lifeguard supervision. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool, a diving pool with 1-metre, 3-metre and 5-metre platforms and a children’s paddling pool. Features include a waterslide, beach volleyball court, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, showers and toilets and there is a restaurant.
