The 9 hole public Aaretal Golf Club is located at Kiesen in the plain of the Aaren-Valley, approximately 9.5 km northwest of Thun and 20km southeast of Berne. Founded in 2000 and designed by the Scottish golf-course architect John Chilver-Stainer, the course measures 2,003 metres and has a par rating of 31 for 9 holes. Facilities include a floodlit driving range, pitching and putting greens, practice bunker, pro shop and a restaurant. Clubs and trolleys can be hired.
