Vidy has a large tract of land making up an extensive park with beachside walks and fountains, a keep-fit trail and many children’s attractions. The land was reclaimed from the lake in 1964 for the Swiss National Exhibition. In addition to these attractions there is also an attractive marina, a skate park, football stadium, camping site and a charming theatre. There is a wonderful tourist train which travelled around Vidy showing visitors all the many attractions on offer, as well as taking in the beautiful scenery.
