The small tourist train, known as Le Baladeur, takes tourists on an hour long tour of of Martigny from June to September. The tour covers the main sights on its climb up to la Bâtiaz Castle. Starting from the Place Centrale, its winding route passes the Semblanet Mill, the Roman amphitheatre, the St. Bernard Dog Museum and the Pierre Gianadda Foundation. Information is given about the various sights. Bookings can be made at the tourist office. Tailor-made trips for groups are available throughout the year.
