The Tälli Aerial Cable Car goes up to the base of the imposing Gadmen Cliffs. There you can undertake Switzerland’s first fixed climbing route, take one of the hiking trails or merely enjoy the hospitality at the Tälli alpine hut. The cable car lower station is on the Susten pass road, about 18 km east of Meiringen, and the trip with 8 passengers takes about 10 minutes. The cliffs rise 600 metres and the climbing route has 1,300 metres of steel cables, 78 metres of ladders, and 550 steel dowels that help visitors climb up the Gadmerflue relatively effortlessly. Necessary equipment can be hired.
