The Automobile Museum of the Fondation Pierre Gianadda is claimed to be the finest automobile museum in Switzerland. It houses over fifty veteran vehicles dating between 1897 and 1939. Within the collection one can see (amongst others): a Benz from 1897, a Stanley à vapeur, a De Dion Bouton, a Germain, a Delaunay-Belleville once belonging to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, a Silver Ghost Rolls-Royce, a Bugatti Royal, a Mercedes SS, an Isotta-Fraschini and a Hispano-Suiza. There is also an outstanding collection of Swiss-made cars. Many of the cars in the museum are the world’s only surviving examples and all vehicles are in working order.
