Lucerne has many delightful lake bathing spots and the Strandbad Aufschütte ´Ufschötti’, although lacking the features of the larger complexes, will appeal to dedicated lake swimmers. Located on Alpenquai, next to the marina and close to the Tribschen Lake Bathing area (see separate entry), there is a sandy beach and entry is free. Facilities are limited to grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics, a games areas for Frisbee, badminton, etc, a kiosk and toilets.
