Located on the Vierwaldstättersee and approximately 11 km south of Lucerne, the Strandbad Stansstad is a good option for a family outing and offers both lake and on-shore open-air pool bathing. The on-shore pools comprise a 25-metre swimmers’ pool complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Features include a waterslide, beach volleyball court, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports. Facilities include changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There is a restaurant.
