The St Michael’s Church seen today dates from 1684, but, during renovations in 1915/16, the remains of three earlier churches were found five metres under the present church. Excavations carried out in 2005 can be visited (signpost in English) and the entrance is close to the main doors of the church. The small chapel next to the church is from 1486 and has some interesting frescos around the windows and, behind it, there are two old bells dating back to 1351 and 1480. The church bell tower, with a clock and a fresco, is an attractive separate building adjacent to the church
