The Seacherplatz Lake Bathing area, on the outskirts of Meggen, is in a beautiful location which will appeal to those dedicated lake swimmers who seek quiet and are not concerned with the facilities of larger lidos. It is, however, popular at weekends and is further along the Lake Lucerne in the direction of Kussnacht, than the Strandbad Benzeholz (see separate entry). Entry is free and facilities are limited to grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics, a barbeque area, a games area for Frisbee, badminton, etc. and toilets
