It takes just 32 minutes by cable car to reach the Schilthorn, at an altitude of 2790 metres and the most spectacular panorama in the Alps. Some 200 peaks can be seen, including the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and ranging from the Bernese Alps to France’s Mont Blanc and Germany’s Black Forest. This is the scenery of the James Bond film ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ from which you can see extracts. The Piz Gloria 400 seat revolving restaurant offers you a 007 breakfast or other meals. Packages are available, including a stay at the Allmendhubel Hotel adjacent to the cable station.
