The Pathway to the Planets has Ringgenberg, some 3 km northeast of Interlaken, as its central point, radiating towards Oberried in one direction and Goldswil in the other. The central starting point is the 13th century Ringgenberg church and the sun and planets are shown to scale over a total distance of about 12 km; the 6 km walk in either direction takes in the order of 2.25 hours. Thus you can cross the entire universe in under 5 hours! The scale is 1:1 billion and the pathway illustrates how miniscule the earth’s solar system is, in relation to the whole.
