This delightful park was constructed at the same time as the villa, which is a copy of Petit Tiranon at Versailles. The villa belonged to Hélène Biber, a modern ballet dancer from Paris. The gorgeous garden is filled with an outstanding display of tropical and subtropical plants and flowers, which thrive through the winter because of the favourable microclimate, unique to the area. The original garden fittings from the 1930s, such as the steps, columns, the grotto in tufa-stone and the railings together, with the unusual plants and trees make this one of the best of Lugano’s parks.
