Villa Florida Park is in the centre of the Loreto district in Via Gaggini da Bissone and was formed from two adjoining private properties, which were demolished apart from some architectural elements. In 1985 building work started on the park utilising the former porter’s lodge, arbour, wrought iron parapets, the grotto and the turret with its ‘berceau’ in decorative ironwork. There are three huge terraces. The first is laid out like a giant chess board. The next terrace has a playground for younger children and lower down is another for older children. The park has outstanding horticulture, including a number of rare plants.
