Parc Mon-Repos is a 19th century park (established 1818 - 1826). Located to the east of the city, it is perfect for walking around or just relaxing. Financier V. Perdonnet renovated the villa, in which Voltaire performed his "Zaire", around 1820. Today it is used for official receptions. Above the park, and worth visiting, is the neo-classicistic building of the Swiss federal court (Tribunal Fédéral Suisse). Also worth seeing is the small museum devoted to the subject of the human hand in art. This museum is found at Rue du Bugnon 21.
