Located since 2003 at Kerzers, about 9.5 km northeast of Murten, Papiliorama was
founded in 1988 and has much to offer in addition to butterflies. There are seven areas, the Papiliorama itself, about 40 metres in diameter and 14 metres maximum high has more than 60 species of tropical butterflies. In artificial moonlight, the Nocturama has nocturnal creatures including night monkeys and giant anacondas. The Swiss Butterfly garden is about 500 square metres and there is a Petting Zoo and a Natural Playground. The Arthropodarium includes scorpions and well camouflaged phasmids and the Jungle Trek takes you on a tropical journey.
