The Valley des Ormonts stretches for over 26 kilometres in the heart of the Vaudois Alps. It covers the region from Aigle to the foot of the Diablerets massif. One of the best skiing areas in this part of Switzerland, Ormont-Dessus covers 6,144 hectares in the upper part of the valley, rising from 1,094 metres at Le Rosex to 3,209 metres at the summit of Les Diablerets. The Pillon Pass links Ormont-Dessus with the Bernese Oberland at Gsteig and the Croix Pass with the Gryonne Valley at Villars. Les Diablerets lies nestled in meadows and woodland on the Grande Eau River.
