La Sauge is described as an open window on nature. This beautiful nature reserve, situated on the northeast point of Lake Neuchâtel, is a sanctuary for the unique and diverse wildlife of Switzerland. Many rare and endangered species of birds nest here or rest during migrating periods and over the winter. The centre’s purpose is to educate the public about the natural resources of the area. Its main objective is to create new habitats favourable to the wildlife, but especially for the green tree frog and the kingfisher.
