The Natural History Museum in Neuchâtel is a wonderful resource for learning about and appreciating the centuries of life that has existed in the area. There are permanent displays of mammals and birds from Switzerland shown in their environment. Many exhibits also feature slide shows (with sound effects for birds). In addition to this, the vivarium should not be missed. There are also giant fossils on show. Temporary exhibitions are organised. There is a cafeteria and shop on site. Wheelchair access is possible.
