The Cantonal Museum of Natural History is a delight for anyone with an interest in natural history. It houses a permanent collection of the different natural components of the region: zoology botany, mycology, palaeontology and geo-mineralogy. The collection features important animals and plants, rocks, minerals and fossils, including the famous reptiles of Monte San Giorgio. The Museum also features an extensive section devoted to mushrooms. The Museum carries out research activities and has a specialist library. There is access for disabled visitors via a stair-free entrance.
