Müstair is a small village in the Graubünden canton, about 38 km southeast of Zerzen. It is located at an altitude of 1,273 metres in the delightful Val Müstair Valley and is close to the Italian border. Its great attraction is the St John’s Benedictine Convent (see separate entry), but the pretty village itself, as well as the other facilities of this area, merit a visit. The Val Müstair with over 295 km of prepared paths is a summer paradise for hiking and biking and, in winter, offers a range of sports, including a school at Müstair.
