In the ‘Roggern’ school building, 100 years of Swiss army history is brought to life in a private collection, laid out over more than 1000 square metres. There are 25 realistic scenes, with uniforms from 1898 to the present, many items from World War I, including a horse stable, a blacksmith and a field kitchen. World War II is typified by mountain troops, air defence and anti-aircraft guns. The infantry can be seen with mortars and flamethrowers and there is the ejection seat of a Hawker Hunter jet fighter. The on site restaurant is arranged military style, serving traditional Swiss army dishes.
