The historic village of Melchnau, located about 23 km south of Olten, celebrated its 900th anniversary in 2000 and an insight into its history can be gained at the local museum. The Melchau Lido is located in rural surroundings on the road to Reisiswil, it has a swimmers’ pool complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool, all under lifeguard supervision.
