Martigny has a wealth of natural, cultural and historical heritage of Valais, including ancient vineyards, the Castle of La Bâtiaz, Semblanet Mill and its Roman remains. In addition to these other interesting and historic buildings are worth visiting. The Couchepin House, built in 1907, is a typical example of its time and is interesting for the ironwork on the guardrails and wood pigeon roof. The original facade of the Hotel des Trois Couronnes dates from 1609. Its original sign can be seen in the restaurant’s dining room. The Grenette Building, erected in 1841-1842 by the Martigny-Bourg Commune, was originally designed as a granary.
