Les Diablerets, an attractive mountain village set in the Vaudoises Alps, dates back to 127 when it joined with Vers L’Eglise to form the commune of Ormont-Dessus. In 1396 the Chapel St-Theodule of Vers L’Eglise was built; it became a Protestant church in 1530 due to the Reformation. An all year round resort, the mountain offers skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and sledge runs in winter, hiking, mountain biking and Via Ferrata in summer. The village also has ice-skating and curling, a swimming-pool and many other activities.
