The building is known today as Grande Baudelle; it was built in about 1867 by Gustave Decoppet. The architecture of this interesting house gave it the name of Le Château des Tourelles (Castle of the Turrets), which remained until the pre-war restorations, but its changed aspect made the name redundant. The chateau is now comprised of a rectangular principal main building facing onto the lake, with a false square tower and a round tower framing a veranda. It is an interesting and attractive reminder of a more elegant age.
