Located on the outskirts of Laupen, in rural surroundings some 13 km southeast of Murten, the Schwimmbad Laupen, which opened in 1964, is an open-air bathing complex. The swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Features include a diving tower with one-metre and three-metre platforms, a children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports. Facilities include parking, changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There is a restaurant and a barbeque area.
