Combine a visit to the Langenthal Lido with some time at the local museum, which is located in the Alten Amthaus in the Bahnhofstrasse. The original museum started in 1942 but, after restoration of the building, reopened in 1984. Apart from the permanent collection, the museum stages two special exhibitions each year. The collections focus on the history, development and culture of Lagenthal and the Oberaargau. Its wide-ranging exhibits include archaeological and geological items, Langenthal porcelain and cover, gold washing, outstanding local personalities and regional customs and handicrafts.
